Delhi University Commences Application Process for UG Courses 2017
- DU has started the application process for undergraduate programmes offered by it.
- Candidates can apply for 60 undergraduate programmes in a total of 62 colleges for 54,000 seats.
- They will be evaluated on the cut-off marks based on Class XII Board results.
Delhi University has started the application process for undergraduate programmes offered by it. Students aspiring to take admission in either of the undergraduate programmes offered by the university will have to apply online for the courses.
Delhi University had initially planned to start its application process a month before the usual schedule in order to avoid last-minute chaos. However, the process could not be materialised this time. But now, the application process has finally started today, May 22, 2017 and will continue till June 12, 2017. This will give the students ample amount of time to complete their applications. Candidates will have the option of applying for 60 undergraduate programmes in a total of 62 colleges. The total number of seats on offer is about 54,000. Candidates will be evaluated as per the cut-off marks which will be based on Class XII Board results.
The tentative dates of the announcement of cut-off lists are as follows:

It is important to note that cut-off lists will be announced depending on the number of vacant seats in the colleges.
Following are the steps to fill DU application form:
- Browse the official website of Delhi University and click on the New Registration link.
- Fill up all the fields asked in the form including the personal, academic and other details.
- Scan and upload your passport size photograph along with the signature in JGP format.
- You will also have to upload the self-attested copies of class 10 and 12 pass certificate and mark sheet along with the category certificates (if applicable).
- Payment is an essential part in order to confirm your application. You can pay the application fees both online and offline.
- Make sure that all the details filled by you are correct before clicking the ‘submit’ button. Take a printout of the application for further reference in the admission process.
Candidates will receive a confirmation mail on registering successfully. Click on the confirmation link to be sure. No changes can be in the application after the final submission. Also, candidates can apply for more than one programme while filling the application form. He/she will not have make an extra payment for each course.

Application fee:
- For General and OBC category students the application fees for Delhi University is Rs. 100
- SC and ST category students will have to pay Rs. 50 for the application form.
- Candidates can pay the application fees either through net banking, debit card, credit card or bank challan.

The university has also announced that no new entrance exam will be held for admission to new UG programmes. However, DU will conduct the usual entrance tests for BBA (Finance), BMS, and BA in Business Economics, Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis), BA (Hons) Humanities and Social Sciences, B.A. (Hons.) Music, Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), B.Tech, (Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations), B.A. (Hons.) Multimedia and Mass Communication, Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education & Sports {B.Sc. (P.E., H.E. & S.)}. About 1,600 seats are available in these programmes.
