NAAC Awards A+ Grade to Delhi University
Delhi University has been ranked A+ in the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) review which was held in the last week of October. A+ is one of the top grades of NAAC.
Delhi University has been ranked A+ in the NAAC review, and the varsity scored a cumulative average of 3.28 CGPA. DU has been granted one of the highest grades of National Assessment and Accreditation Council and the assessment work was conducted as a part of NAAC's periodic evaluation of the higher education institutes and to promote quality teaching, research and learning in the higher education institutions across the country.
DU has received the outcome of the Assessment and Accreditation of the NAAC. The accreditation is according to the revised A&A framework which was introduced by NAAC in July 2017. The revised process made the accreditation and assessment procedure more transparent, scalable and robust. One of the main changes was made to data based quantitative indicator evaluation from the qualitative peer judgment. This helped in increasing the transparency and objectivity in the NAAC accreditation process.

The A+ ranking accredited to DU will be valid for five years from 30th November 2018.
To be fully prepared before the NAAC team’s visit, DU mock teams conducted visits for various departments and made sure that they are well prepared for the review. A questionnaire of 103 questions to various departments of the varsity was also mailed for the same.
Yogesh Tyagi, Vice Chancellor, Delhi University said that it is a matter of pride for everyone who is a part of the university. He further said that DU is the only central university that has been selected out of the eight other IoEs. However, a formal announcement in this regard is eagerly awaited.

The selection of the varsity was done on the basis of both the past performance and future plans off university in all its 113 institutions. The plans in regard to quality of education, research and training.
