DU Admission 2019: 2.9 Lakh Candidates Appearing for Delhi University Entrance Exam

The registrations for DUET 2019 have crossed a total of 2 lakh. These students will appear for the entrance exam to get admission in various courses of the university. The DUET 2019 is being conducted from 3rd July 2019 to 8th July 2019.

The entrance test of the University of Delhi (DU) will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). As many as 2,22,361 students have registered themselves for the Delhi University Entrance Test, which is now known as DUET. Out of the total strength of over 2 lakhs, 81,307 students will appear in the exam to get admission in the undergraduate courses of DU while the remaining 1,28,699 applicants will be appearing for the admission test for postgraduate courses. Around 12,355 candidates have registered themselves for admission to the M.Phil and Ph.D courses.

The Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) commences on 3rd July 2019 and ends on 8th July 2019. The examination is conducted in three shifts. The morning shift starts at 8 a.m., the afternoon shift starts at noon, and the evening shift begins at 4 p.m. The examinations for all the courses will be for a duration of two hours. A total of 1,929 candidates have appeared in the category of differently abled students.

The DUET will be conducted across 18 cities for which the NTA has positioned 15 city coordinators along with 150 observers. Around 3,600 jammers have been installed at these centres so as to prevent the usage of any electronic device during the course of the exam.

The agency has also claimed to have set up about 4,000 test practice centres so that the students can practice for the exam online. According to the statistics provided by the NTA, over 10 lakh students have availed the facility of test centres.

The candidates will have to report at the examination centre assigned to them at least 90 minutes prior to the commencement of the exam. This will give them sufficient time to complete the registration and frisking formalities before the exam starts. The registration desk at each centre will be closed 30 minutes before the exam begins.
