NTA to Conduct Entrance Test for Delhi University
Delhi University's admission committee has decided that the National Testing Agency will be conducting the entrance exams for admissions. NTA will conduct entrance exam for more than 180 courses.
University of Delhi admission committee has finalised the Testing Agency for DU UG Entrance Exam 2019. National Testing Agency will be conducting entrance exams of more than 180 courses, including undergraduate programmes of the university.
The Delhi University admission to undergraduate courses is done on the basis of entrance tests. The admissions are done on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in the entrance test and scores in class 12th examination. DU has started with its registration process for 2019-20 admissions from 30th May 2019.
Last year, Delhi University admission process started on 15th May 2018. However, this year there has been a delay and it was decided that the registration will start on 27th May but then it was further delayed.
The NTA comes under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Vinay Gupta, Dean of Examination, DU informed that the entrance exam will take place in three sessions and the agency will ensure that all the security system is in place. The DU Entrance Exam 2019 is a two-hour written entrance test which consists of MCQs. The test is designed to evaluate the aptitude of the candidates through areas relevant to their respective subject.
The DU Entrance Exam 2019 date is not out yet. Most likely, the exam will take place between 20th June- 1st July 2019. The final schedule regarding the same will be announced soon on the DU portal

The standing committee also made several suggestions that such as there should be multiple payment gateways for the students looking forward to admissions at the university. The varsity should come up with e-wallets and other payment gateways which help the students to pay the fees.
