Students in Doon University are all-rounders they study, play, sing, and dance and this was proved recently in the 31st North Zone fest. Under the guidance of the cultural club teachers, the students prepared and gave their best to bring laurels and raise the mark of the university.
The students attended 31st North Zone Youth Festival titled 'Goonj' organised by Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in collaboration with the ministry of youth affairs and sports, govt. of India and association of Indian Universities.
Students participated in folk dance, western group singing, western solo and debate competition. Performances by Doon University students were highly appreciated by all.
Angela John, MA integrated communication was awarded the third price in western solo. Angela, Tarun, Sneha, Jasmine were also awarded the third prize in western group singing.
Punjab Edition of National newspapers including the Tribune and Hindustan Times interviewed Doon University students and published their various photographs taken during the event.
Doon university received the third prize in two events in western group singing and western solo singing. This tour was highly successful and an event that boosted the confidence of the students and the university left its mark on the entire student fraternity representing various universities of North India through their good behaviour and amazing performances.
Doon University has its mark set all over and students here are benefitted in every sense.
