Do's and Don'ts while Filling CAT 2022 Application Form

CAT 2022 Application Form was released on August 3, 2022. The last date to fill out the application form is September 14, 2022. The CAT 2022 is scheduled to be held on November 27, 2022. Candidates aspiring to pursue their career in management for postgraduate studies may appear for CAT 2022 exams. Qualifying CAT 2022 will make candidates eligible for MBA, MCA, and PGDM courses for various domains in the top Management colleges of the country. CAT is a national-level entrance exam, widely accepted by most colleges in India. However, candidates must be careful while filling out the application form. As one of the major management entrance exams, candidates must follow the do’s and don’ts to avoid discrepancy.

CAT 2022 Application Form: Do’s 

Here are some of the things that candidates must be aware of while filling out the CAT 2022 Application Form:

• The CAT 2022 Application Form is only available online on the official website. Interested candidates must fill out the application forms online through the official website, as offline application forms are not accepted. 
• Before filling the application forms, it is best to check the eligibility criteria. Candidates must have completed their graduation from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% for unreserved category and 45% for reserved category candidates. Also, there is no upper age limit to apply. 
• It is best to prepare all the required documents ahead of time before starting to fill out the application form. 
• Candidates must pay the application fee online while filling out the CAT 2022 Application Form. If the application fee is not paid, the application will not be considered complete. The Application Fee for General & NC-OBC is INR 2200, and for all other categories INR 1100. 
• To upload the documents required, candidates must follow the prescribed size and format to avoid cancellation of the application. Although candidates may have the opportunity to make changes in the application form, still it is best to be careful. 
• Candidates will have to select the exam city and it is best to select the nearest or the most convenient option to appear for the CAT 2022 exams.

While filling out the application form, it is best to avoid or not do these following things: 

• Do not delay filling out the application form to the last date, as there may be payment failure or server issues, in such cases the application form will not be submitted. 
• Avoid using mobile devices to fill out the application forms. It is best to use a computer or laptop with a stable internet connection. Also, candidates must ensure to use a recent operating system. 
• Although the CAT 2022 Application Form may be corrected for mistakes if any at the time of the correction window, only a few parts will be allowed to edit. Therefore, do not haste, and fill out all the details carefully. In case of any mistake in the application form, the same will prevail until the time of admissions and may be rejected later due to such mistakes.
