DSC Promotes Social Development in Rural Areas through Communication Solutions

Through its Annual Rural Communication Exhibition, the Delhi School of Communication (DSC) highlighted the need for social development through communication mediums. The exhibition was conducted at the DSC campus.
Students of the institute participated in the event and designed communication material essential for social development. This material was provided for the promotion of girl child education, employment and hygiene. Some unique brand solutions were also presented by the students that will help the rural communities.
Creative Director of Wieden & Kennedy, Mr. Udayan Chakravarty, was the invited to the exhibition as a Special Guest. The event is organised by DSC every year to gather creative ideas presented by students along with various inspiring brand stories.
Talking about the importance of the event, Dean of DSC, Prof. Ramola Kumar, said that powerful communication is essential for the overall development of urban as well as rural societies of India. He added that DSC has been devoted to finding creative solutions for all social problems.

The Dean also said that the students have also provided solutions for problems like rural employment, female foeticide, and sanitation. Students take building a communication setup in the rural framework as a challenge, he added. The institute also endeavours to start new projects and encourage creativity.
