DST Launches Fellowships in Science and Engineering
The fellowships will be awarded for one year, and it may be extended to one more year depending upon the evaluation. The candidates who wish to apply for the fellowship should have completed Ph.D. in Science and Engineering.
Department of Science and Technology (DST) of Indian Government has launched Overseas Postdoctoral Fellowships (OPDF). The fellowships are being offered by Science and Engineering Research Board of DST. The primary objective behind offering these fellowships is to encourage the researchers to carry out research activities in the field of Science and Engineering.
The fellowship will be awarded for one year, and it may be extended to one more year depending upon the evaluation. The candidates who are eager to apply for the fellowship should have completed their Ph.D. in Science and Engineering. However, the candidates must have completed Ph.D. not earlier than the preceding two years.

On the other hand, the upper age limit for the working professionals is 35. These candidates must have completed their Ph.D. not earlier than the preceding four years. The applicants will be shortlisted, and they will be admitted in identified areas. These candidates will be sent to renowned institutions across the globe other than the United States, where they will work with internally reputed scientists in those institutions.

March 15, 2017, is the deadline for interested candidates to apply for the fellowship.
