DTE MP Implements 10% Reservation for EWS in Admission Process for Various Courses
As per the DTE MP Revised Seat Matrix, a 10% reservation to the EWS category has been implemented. This new DTE MP Seat Matrix is applicable from AY 2022-23 onwards for admission into various courses.
DTE MP Revised Seat Matrix: The Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh (DTE MP) released a notice dated 28/07/2022 to add a 10% reservation for the Economically Weaker Sections or EWS Category for admissions into various technical courses. This reservation will be applicable from the academic year 2022-23 onwards and is awarded as per AICTE Approval Process Handbook 2022-23.
Based on the new reservation seat matrix, 50% of seats will still be available for the Unreserved/General category students while the rest of the seats are divided between the reserved categories. For this, a coefficient of 1.25 has been introduced, thus the seats allotted for the EWS category will be (10*1.25%*total number of seats available at the institute). A detailed example for further elaboration has been presented below.
