DU Declares 10th Cut-Off to Fill Vacant Seats

Despite the various admission rounds conducted by the University of Delhi (DU), seats still remain vacant across various DU colleges. To fill these seats, the university has declared a 10th cut-off list. General category students will be able to secure seats in DU on the basis of this list.

The university had also released 8th and 9th cut-offs in order to fill up the reserved category seats that remained vacant. Seats on the basis of these cut-offs were secured only by the reserved category students.
However, a few seats also remained vacant for general category students across various DU Colleges. DU has announced the 10th cut-off list to fill up these seats and only general category students will be able to secure admission on the basis of this list.

Deputy Dean of Students’ Welfare, Gurpreet Singh Tuteja informed that this special admission drive will be organised to ensure that seats that remain vacant in a few courses offered by DU colleges are taken by students.
According to experts and a few DU officials, seats in DU remain vacant due to last minute cancellation of admissions. Students who hope to get better opportunities and courses in other universities cancel their admission. Therefore, the seats that they have left remain vacant.

A senior official from DU informed that the 10th cut-off will be the final list for admissions and admissions to the 56,000 seats offered by 61 DU colleges will be will be closed after that.
