DU Academic Council to Discuss on Incorporation of the UG Curriculum Framework 2022
The Delhi University Academic Council is about to decide the NEP-based UG curriculum framework 2022 in a meeting on February 9.
Delhi University Academic Council is about to meet on February 9th to plan out the incorporation of the UG curriculum framework. On January 21, the university had introduced a draft of UG Curriculum Framework 2022 (UGCF-2022) prepared according to the guidelines of National Education Policy. The university had asked for feedback from stakeholders and the deadline to submit the feedback was January 30.
The UGCF had proposed the implementation of the four-year undergraduate programme. However, the curriculum has come under criticism because it does not give much credit to the UG students a. According to the mass verdict, the proposed UGCF 2022 will reduce the workload of the teachers and also the credits for students of the UG courses.

As per a senior university official, the academic council meeting is about to discuss the incorporation of the UGCF and make any nominal changes if needed. Regarding the apprehensions of the stakeholders, the university has already cleared it by declaring that the workload of the teachers is not going to be reduced.
Further, an academic council member added that the detailed meeting agenda had not been sent yet, but a circular informed that it will consider the UGCF 2022 based on the National Education Policy, 2020.
