Delhi University will complete the admission to the undergraduate programs through the Common Seat Allocation System 2022 (CSAS 2022). This system will be activated once the centralised university admission test (CUET) 2022 exam will be over. As per the exam conducting authority, the CSAS exam will take place in three phases.

After the three phases of allocation, the University authority will start to fill the supplementary seats. Based on the seat availability, the University will declare the multiple rounds of allocation. To fill the supplementary seats, the process will be started after the commencement of the third round of seat allocation (except for the PwD candidates and the Kashmiri migrants).

DU Admission 2022: Three Phases of Counselling through CUET UG

The candidates can check here the phase-wise DU Admission 2022 counselling process.

Phase 1: The candidates have to apply through CSAS form 2022. They should also pay a one-time refundable amount. If the candidates apply under ECA and sports supernumerary, then they should pay an additional amount.

Phase 2: In this phase, the candidates have to select the programs and need to fill their preferences. Once the result will be declared, the candidates should complete the admission for their preferred stream. The candidates can select as many programs as they want to join, only they need to meet the eligibility criteria. The final selection will be done based on the preference order for seat allocation.

Phase 3: The admission will be completed as per the order of preferences of program+ college in CSAS form. The University authority will check the candidate’s rank in the program merit list for the UR/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS category.

Kindly note, if the candidates fail to complete the admission process during the stipulated time, then they can choose the mid entry option. In that case, the mid entry fees will be INR 1000 for all the candidates.

DU Admission 2022: Tie Breaking Round

In case of CSAS rounds for seat allocation and admission process to DU, if the tie persists for getting the same CUET UG 2022 merit score, then the following tie breaking rule will be followed.

  • Candidate with a higher percentage of aggregate marks (in best 3 subjects) in Class 12 exam
  • Candidate with a higher percentage of aggregate marks (in best 4 subjects) in Class 12 exam
  • Candidate with a higher percentage of aggregate marks (in best 5 subjects) in Class 12 exam
  • The candidates with older DoB as mentioned in Class 10 certificate will get preferences

DU 2022 Spot Admission

If there are still few seats available after the completion of CSAS rounds, then DU may declare the spot admissions. Candidates should keep their eyes on the official website of DU.
