The proposal to conduct online entrance test for PG courses was presented before EC last year. However, the approval was not given due to the protests from student organisations, who argued that the online entrance will pose a disadvantage to students hailing from poor and backward regions.
In February 2018, the University of Delhi had invited online bids for conducting PG entrance exam in 18 cities across the country. According to sources, the entrance test for PG courses would be objective-type. The entrance exam will be conducted in two languages, i.e., Hindi and English. The responsibility for conducting the entrance test and declaring results will be given to a private organisation.
