DU Admission 2020: Orientation Goes Online
Delhi University conducts Orientation Programme online. Colleges have added several elements to their Orientation Programme to make the experience real and interesting for the students.
Delhi University has concluded with its admission process and the varsity conducted its orientation online for the first time due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The first among the group was Hindu College which held its orientation on 11th November and added several elements to the online event to make it more interesting as they were missing excitement and anxiety that comes on the first day of college.
Anju Srivastava, Hindu College Principal said that various new elements were added to the Online Orientation. The first-year students were informed about the library and what e-sources available. They were also informed about the counsellor and informed students about the challenges they may face as the classes are being held online and how and when can students contact her. Students were also made familiar with the disability unit.
Nandhana, a first-year student of History Hons at the Hindu College said that the orientation programme was very informative but the excitement and real-life experience is missing for us. Many virtual performances were held and students were introduced to each other.
One of the first-year students of St. Stephen's College also shared his experience about the orientation which was held on 16th November. During the orientation programme teachers talked about classes being held on Zoom/ Google Meet due to which lectures tend to become boring for few.

Miranda House Orientation is all set to take place on 18th November and to the make, the experience closest to physical orientation and students do not miss out on the most important experience of their life, a virtual tour has been planned for the students and few other activities.
