Students, who got enrolled are curious to be a part of DU but those who are not, still searching educational institutes for them. Around 54,000 seats in Delhi University (DU) are supposed to be occupied with the release of another cut-off. No doubt, there are several private institutes offering multiple courses, but DU always remains the first choice of aspirants. CollegeDekho.com talk with students who failed to be a part of DU and found that despite offering excellent infrastructural facilities Private universities are still not the right words in their preference. “I got 80% and want to pursue English Honors from Delhi University, but the higher cut-offs and neck to neck competition left me with the options to choose a private University,” said Amar Gupta, a resident of Haryana. Similarly, another aspirant who thought that his sports quota will help him to crack DU seat, going to take admission in a Private University in Manesar. “I am a National level athlete, but the inflated cut-off list land me nowhere except in a Private University. I am still waiting for 7th cut-off list and stick to my hope to get into DU,” said Sanjay Chaudhary, a resident of Bhiwadi, Rajasthan The aspirants are not repelled to the private universities, but they prefer to study with the more glamour of DU. “I have no problem with the private universities, but they charge a huge amount of fee and their placement are equally not good,” laments Sanjay Tanwar, a resident of Gurgaon who has filled a form in the government college of Gurgaon also.
