- The North Campus of Delhi University echoed with the slogans of students demanding ‘third-year students be promoted’ on July 5, 2017.
The members of DUSU or Delhi University Students’ Union staged a protest against the mass failure of final year B.Com students in the practical examination. These students did not clear their third year and were left deeply disappointed by the policy of the University of Delhi.
The members claimed that the varsity did not intimate the candidates regarding the passing marks in the practical examination in advance. The mistake rests with the university that did not give clarity on the fact that the candidates had to pass individual components of a course to clear the subject. As a result, many students failed in the examination. Students were of the opinion that it was unfair to fail these students.
