Union HRD minister Smriti Irani said that academic institutes of the country will be required adopt 5 villages in their neighbourhood so as to unfold education and technology in rural areas. The Union minister was speaking at an interactive session with intellectuals and professionals in Ganganagar district on Sunday at a programme organised to mark the completion of 2 years of Prime Minister Modi government.
She has launched many initiatives for strengthening of the academic establishments in the last 2 years.`Unnayan Bharat Abhiyan' is one of such initiative to attach academic establishments with individuals of the immediate neighbourhood. She has requested every institution across the country to adopt 5 villages under the Unnayan Bharat Abhiyan so the villages in the immediate neighbourhood can take advantage of the services provided by the institute. Irani, an lauded Rajasthan for its pioneering initiatives in education and appreciated that in some places in the state follow the adoption of villages by academic institutions already exist. The minister exhorted professionals like chartered accountants (CAs) to assist individuals from poor and lower-middle-class sections so, they can avail for loans from banks and money to fund their establishments which comes under the formidable new programmes like StartUp India and StandUp India.
She asked legal specialists to give free services to the poor. She said Prime Minister Narendra Modi dreams of a prosperous and robust India and currently India stands tall among the countries of world because of his initiatives. She additionally lauded Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for several welfare programmes like Bhamashah, which was launched under her leadership for the welfare of individuals. Speaking on the occasion, BJP state president Ashok Parnami said the Congress party has never been responsible to the individuals. He also said that not like Congress, BJP government submitted to individuals has made changes for the benefit of individuals.
