B.Arch Admission: In lieu of the COVID-19, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, the Education Minister of India has declared a major relaxation in terms of the eligibility criteria for B.Arch Admission. The relaxation in the eligibility criteria for B.Arch Admission will be applicable for the 2021-22 academic year. As per the new rules, as the minimum requirement for B.Arch Admission, the candidates just need to pass 10+2 with PCM subjects/ 10+3 with Diploma. The previous requirement of minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exams has been removed for B.Arch Admission.
This is one of the major changes that has been introduced in the B.Arch course admission in India. The same change will be applicable for other entrance exams conducted for B.Arch admission including JEE Main, NATA, and others. The following decision has been taken in view of the Pandemic in order to provide some relaxation for the students. Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal has conveyed the information to the students through his Twitter handle on March 19, 2021.
This has brought a wave of happiness among the students who were preparing for B.Arch admission for the academic year 2021-22. While some of the students are still urging the education minister to cancel the boards for the year 2021 in view of the Pandemic. However, the further changes in the education system of India still remain unclear.
