The exam dates for selection of students for “Super 30” has been changed. Earlier it was going to be held on June 19, now it will be held on June 26. Director Education Amarnath Verma said that this change was made because it was requested by Super 30 founder Anand Kumar. Super 30 is known for preparing meritorious students from economically backward sections forIIT-JEE exam. The selection process of these 30 studebts is done via an exam. This year, the exam will be held on June 26 in UP.
The exam for selection of candidates will be held at 11 places and all those qualifying will be given coaching for IIT entrance examination.
Amarnath Yadav also directed the officials concerned to make proper arrangement for the entrance exam.
Under the innovative educational programme, launched by Mr Kumar in 2002, 30 meritorious students from the economically-backward sections of the society are selected every year and are trained to crack the country's prestigious IIT exams. The students are offered free coaching, food and lodging facilities under Super 30. This year, 28 out of 30 students cracked IIT (JEE Advanced).
The day of result was like a celebration day for students who visited Anand Kumar at his Meethapur residence in Patna.
