Event Update: Workshop on Importance of Summer Internship at ICCMRT

A workshop on ‘Summer internship: An important career stepping stone’ was organised on June 7 by the Institute of Cooperative and Corporate Management, Research and Training (ICCMRT) for its MBA students.

Institute of Co-operative and Corporate Management Research & Training (ICCMRT) proffers MBA programme and was established by UP government, it serves as a locus of management education, management & computer training, research and consultancy.

Inaugurating the workshop, principal Ajay Prakash said that summer internship was an integral part of the MBA programme of the institute, which provided practical learning exposure and an opportunity to integrate career related experience into the professional MBA programme.

He also highlighted how the summer training would make students understand how to apply knowledge and techniques learnt in the classroom to real business problems.

Namita Srivastava, associate professor, Garima Srivastava, associate professor, Sushma, assistant professor, gave a detailed presentation about the importance of summer training in enhancing practical skills, an opportunity to develop industry-specific capabilities and strong teamwork skills and placement prospects.

They also interacted about dos and donts of summer training and report preparation. Dr Tarun Singh Gangwar, Associate Professor, said that all MBA students of the ICCMRT had been placed for the summer internship for a period of six weeks in several well-known companies.
