Event Updates- IIT Kharagpur will organize Global Entrepreneurship Summit from 8 to 10 January 

The ‘Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2016’ (GES) will be organized by the entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Kharagpur from 8th to 10th January 2016. This time on, academicians, venture capitalists, eminent business personalities, new-age entrepreneurs, and students will experience a major entrepreneurial event, to convene and share their entrepreneurial endeavors and experiences.

Stalwarts like Suneet Singh Tuli (founder of Aakash Tablet), Rajat Sharma (Founder and CEO of India TV), and Sundar Pichai (CEO of Google) were the Speakers in the previous editions of GES.

The would be 2016 edition of the GES carries Guest Lectures by Lalit Agarwal (Chairman and MD, V-mart), Amitabh Ray (MD, Ericsson), Chitra Ramkrishna (CEO, National Stock Exchange), B. K. Chaturvedi (Padma Bhushan Awardee & Former Cabinet Secretary) and many other eminent personalities. There are plans in the pipeline, which aim at organizing workshops for building the entrepreneurial insight of the participants. Deloitte, Amazon Web Services, Flipkart, Intel, IBM, Microsoft, Calcutta Angels, Vmware, BSE and some others will also be present.

Topics like the scope of technology-based entrepreneurship in India, future of online retailing, Cloud computing to name a few will be discussed upon. .

Besides the above, there is another worth mentioning event, i.e. Startup Camp involving interaction between the students and the entrepreneurs. The focus of this event will be on helping startups to recruit the talent amid GES participants for jobs/internships and also offering them the chance to meet the biggest Angel Investors and VC in India.
