Fin-Tech Academy Launched at GITAM University

GITAM University has launched a Certificate programme in Fin-Tech. For this purpose, the varsity inaugurated the Fin-Tech Academy on January 18, 2017. Various experts from industry were present at the inaugural session. Fin-Tech Academy is one of its kind among the top institutes across the world.
Prof. Prasada Rao, Vice-Chancellor of GITAM University, launched the programme. N.T. Arun Kumar, Managing Director of Union Bank of Switzerland, was also present on the occasion. Prof. Prasad indicated that Fin-Tech plays a significant role in creating an ecosystem for supporting Fin-Tech Valley.

He further added that GITAM University is feeling proud to launch this programme. For designing the curriculum of the course, the varsity has partnered with Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Broadridge, UBS India and APEITA.
He further announced that apart from Fin-Tech certificate programme, the varsity is also planning to launch Blockchain certificate programme. The varsity also has plans to launch PG Diploma and MBA programme in the coming years.

N.T. Arun Kumar emphasised on the fact that higher education institutes need to have Fin-Tech ecosystems. He explained that Fin-Tech plays a vital role in applying disruptive and persuasive technology into various financial verticals. It provides more security to the industry and provides greater consumer experience.
He congratulated the students who got selected under this programme. Tirumala Rao Chamalla, Presidents of Electronics IT Agency, assured that the government would provide any kind of support for the conduction of the programme.
