First Batch of 5 Years Graduates from IIM Indore

IIM Indore made announcements at the 17th convocation on Saturday to motivate academic research.

Arundhati Bhattacharya, the chairperson of State Bank of India, was the chief guest at the convocation while a member of board of governors Jagdish Capoor chaired the function.

Jagdish Capoor said, “A total of 703 students graduated today, which is a record for IIM-Indore that started with less than 30 students in 1998,”. He said the first batch of management students for the 5-year integrated diploma course graduated this year.

“Students need to be concentrated and sincere in any kind of occupations they take up in future,” says Rishikesha T Krishnan, director of the institute.

He said, “We have received a positive feedback so far and this has further encouraged us to include similar courses.” That means the new PG course curriculum which had a lot of courses- based studies in skill development has been good.

He wants to increase the number of faculty members from 87 to 100 apart from developing the infrastructure of the institute on the lines of a green campus.

Krishnan says “Creating a campus on sustainability principles with rainwater harvesting and others will be given the prime concern”.
