Former ISRO Chief K. Kasturirangan to Head Panel on National Education Policy
- Former head of Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO Dr. Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan will head the committee to draft the National Education Policy or NEP.
- The new panel to draft NEP was constituted by Union HRD Minister, Mr. Prakash Javadekar.
Former head of Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO Dr. Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan will head the committee to draft the National Education Policy or NEP. The new panel to draft National Education Policy or NEP was constituted by Union HRD Minister, Mr. Prakash Javadekar. The panel consists of nine members. The ministry has chosen educationalists and experts from varied backgrounds as the members of the panel.

About Dr. Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan: -
- He was born on October 24, 1940, in Ernakulam (Kerala).
- Dr. Kasturirangan received various recognitions like Padma Shri in 1982, Padma Bhushan in 1992 and Padma Vibhushan in 2000.
- He completed B.Sc (Hons) in Physics from Bombay (Mumbai) University in 1961.
- He also completed M.Sc (Hons) in Physics with Electronics as specialisation from Bombay (Mumbai) University.
- He also holds Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics.
