Tamil Nadu to Provide Free NEET UG 2020 Coaching for Aspirants
The Tamil Nadu State Government Department of School Education to provide fee NEET Coaching for students appearing for the examination.
The Tamil Nadu School Education Minister informed that the state will provide free NEET UG coaching for the students who will be appearing for the examination. Earlier, the state stopped offering free coaching to NEET aspirants as it was clashing with public examinations. But now the exam got postponed from to 13th September due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the government has decided to offer free coaching to the students to help them prepare for the same.
Also, Tamil Nadu to introduce for 7.5% horizontal reservation in the state government’s quota of MBBS/BDS seats for the students belonging to the government higher secondary schools.
The statistics for the last two years are as follows:

The free coaching classes for the government school students for NEET-UG 2020 is being conducted in 412 coaching centers across the Tamil Nadu state. These coaching classes for medical aspirants were conducted during weekends and during the vacation period of quarterly and half-yearly examinations.
According to the reports, the state government department of School Education informed that the reason to stop the coaching classes is that the practical examination for class 11th and 12th will start soon and along with the same the Public Examinations are also approaching.
Also this year there has been a dip in the number of NEET applications from Tamil Nadu by 17%.
