Freeze after CLAT Allotment 2024: Freeze is one of the three post-allotment choice options provided by the Consortium of NLUs. If the candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat and does not wish for any modification/betterment in it in the next counselling rounds, then the candidate shall opt for the Freeze option. Such candidates will be required to take admission at their Freeze institute as per the schedule given by the Consortium.

Freeze after CLAT Allotment 2024: Important instructions
Following are the important instructions regarding the CLAT seat allotment 2024 Freeze option:
- Once the freeze option is exercised, no change in the allotted seat will be permitted until the end of the counselling process.
- If a candidate is allotted a seat of their first preference, then such seats will be auto-freezed. Preference #1 candidates will not be eligible to exercise the Float option.
- To Freeze the seat in Rounds 1, 2, or 3, the candidates must pay a Confirmation Fee of Rs 20,000/- (for all categories).
- To Freeze the seat in Rounds 4 or 5, the candidates must pay the complete university fee they have been allotted the seat at.
- Candidates who Freeze their seat in Rounds 1, 2, or 3 will have their Confirmation Fee adjusted with the university fee while that will not be the case for Round 4/5 allocations.
- The dates for exercising CLAT 2024 Seat Allotment Freeze option are:
- Round 1: December 26, 2023 (10 AM) to January 2, 2024 (1 PM)
- Round 2: January 8, 2024 (10 AM) to January 12, 2024 (1 PM)
- Round 3: January 22, 2024 (10 AM) to January 25, 2024 (1 PM)
- Round 4: May 20, 2024 (10 AM) to May 23, 2024 (1 PM)
- Round 1/2/3 Freeze candidates must pay the university fee on May 14, 2024.
- Round 4 Freeze candidates must pay the university fee between May 20, 2024 (10 AM) to May 23, 2024 (1 PM).
- No Freeze option will be available for Round 5 as all allotted seats will be auto-freezed.
