Gajendra Chauhan, Chairperson of FTII, said that the courses would be launched in the main cities including New Delhi. The primary objective for starting these courses is to enhance the skills of talented individuals who look forward to a career in film industry across the country.
He mentioned that the number of seats in FTII is limited and the country needs a huge number of professionals. He stated that the courses of the institute are not only limited to Mumbai but also Delhi, southern states and others. However, it is hard to hold long term courses in various states and FTII has come up with an initiative of launching short term courses.
