GAT-B 2022 Exam Notification Likely to be Released in July: Check Eligibility Criteria

Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) is likely to release the exam notification by July. The admit card for the GAT B is expected to be released in the month of August. The exam centres are spread across 58 cities in India. The applicants must start their preparation for GAT-B examination before the official notification is released. The applicants are advised to check the GAT-B eligibility criteria before applying online for GAT B 2022 examination.
GAT-B is a national-level competitive examination conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) annually. GAT-B is conducted for the applicants who want to take admission in M.Sc and M.Sc integrated courses. The applicants must note that there are 34 participating universities in GAT-B that offer 1221 seats to 64 postgraduate programs. The applicants must check the syllabus for GAT-B before applying for the examination so that they can prepare their strategy accordingly.
Eligibility Criteria for GAT-B 2022
The eligibility criteria for GAT-B 2022 examination are mentioned below.
- The applicants must be bonafide Indian nationals in order to apply for GAT-B 2022. The applicants must meet the minimum eligibility criteria of the respective participating institutions.
- The applicants who are in their final year of the appearing examination of their qualifying degree can apply for GAT B 2022 under the result awaited (RA) category. The applicants, in that case, will have to submit an Undertaking/Attestation Form duly stamped and signed by the Head of the Institute from where the applicant is doing his qualifying degree.
- Minimum 60 % marks are required for the General/EWS & OBC category and 55 % marks for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates in aggregate
- The applicants must be less than 28 years of age on the last date of application for the General and EWS category. However, there are age relaxations of up to 5 years (33 years) for SC/ ST/PWD/ Women candidates. Further, 3 years relaxation (31 years) for OBC (Non-Creamy layer) candidates are also granted.
