The GATE 2022 Electronics and Communication Engineering or EC exam will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur, this year’s officiating body, on 06th February on the morning session. M.Tech ECE aspirants will appear in the GATE 2022 EC exam to wrestle for a seat in one of the IITs, IISc or an institute of national repute. IIT Kharagpur will conduct GATE 2022 across four days - 05th, 06th, 12th and 13th February and the result will be announced on 30th March 2022.

  • The overall difficulty level of the GATE 2021 ECE exam was moderate to difficult

  • There were a total of 30 NAT and 25 MCQ-based questions in the question paper

  • The General Aptitude section was easy

  • The Engineering Mathematics section was easy to moderate

  • The subject-specific questions were moderately challenging

  • Topics like Communication and Network Theory received the highest weightage

  • Candidates who attempted 40 to 42 questions fell into the category of “Good Attempts”
