GATE 2024 Application Form Last Date September 29: IISc Bengaluru will close the regular registration portal for GATE 2024 on September 29, 2023. Interested and eligible applicants who have not yet submitted the GATE 2024 application form must do so before the given deadline to be able to sit for GATE 2024 examination. Applicants need to enter their personal, and education details within the form. Apart from that, uploading photographs and signatures in the slots provided is also mandatory. The specifications to follow for these document uploads are stated here. Applicants must abide by the guidelines set by the conducting authorities strictly to avoid form rejection from rule violation.

GATE 2024 Application Form: Instructions to Upload Photo

The instructions to upload your photograph in GATE 2024 application form are as follows:

• Candidates must upload a high-quality picture in the application form. 

• The photograph should be passport size (3.5 cm width × 4.5 cm height) and coloured.

• It should contain 60-70% of the candidate's face. 

• The photograph should have a white background and there should be no person or object blocking the background. 

• Candidates should look at the camera directly while the picture is being taken. The forehead, nose, eyes, and chin should be clearly visible.

• The photograph should not be covered with hats, cops, glasses, sunglasses, etc.

• If the candidate wears normal spectacles, then that is permitted. However, there should be no glare on the photograph. 

• The photograph should be uploaded in a JPEG/JPG format with a ratio of 0:66 to 0.89.

• Extra caution must be taken while cropping the photograph. At any cost, candidates' facial features should not be cropped out.

• The minimum pixel resolution should be 200 x 260 pixels and the maximum should be 530 x 690 pixels.

• The file size must range between 5 kB to 1 MB.

• No shadow or cloth should cover the picture.

GATE 2024 Application Form: Instructions to Upload Signature

Candidates can find the detailed guidelines to upload their signature in GATE 2024 registration form here:

• Similar to the photograph uploading format, the signature should also be uploaded in a JPEG/JPG format. 

• The ratio of the photograph should be between 2.74 to 3.75.

• After cropping the picture based on the given size, the signature should cover 70-80% of the photograph.

• Candidates must sign with a dark blue or black colour on a white sheet before taking the picture. 

• The file size should be between 3 kB to 1 MB. 

• The minimum pixel resolution should be 250 × 80 pixels and the maximum should be 580 × 180 pixels.

• The signature should be done only by the candidate and if it does not match with the signature that will be done during the examination, the applicant’s paper will be cancelled.
