GATE 2024 BT and XL Aspirants Request Change in Exam Date
A lot of students have raised objection on the same date for GATE 2024 BT and XL exams. They have requested to change the date of either exams.
GATE Applicants Request to Extend BT and XL Exam Dates: Several candidates registered for the upcoming GATE 2024 examination have raised a request to postpone the exam dates of BT (Biotechnology) and XL (Life Sciences) papers. A majority of the students preparing to appear for these two subjects have demanded not to conduct both papers simultaneously on a single day.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11 across various test centres in the country. However, more than one subject is scheduled for the same day GATE 2024 exam schedule. The students have asked the authorities to shift any of these two exams to a different date.

GATE 2024 BT and XL Applicants Request Change in Exam Dates
In some of the pleas, the applicants asked the exam authority of GATE 2024 to change the exam schedule for both BT and XL (currently on the same day) to the next day. However, the authorities have rejected the request to change the dates now at the last moment. GATE 2024 examination authority stated, ” Multiple exams with two-paper combinations on one day have been scheduled due to operational constraints. Hence, it is not possible to shift the exam dates now”.
One of the applicants said that the GATE BT and XL subjects are relatively tough and it is unfair to appear for both exams on a single day i.e., February 10, 2024. He further suggested that any one of these two exams can be shifted to the next day, February 11, 2024, when only one paper per shift is being held. Answering the request, the authority turned down the hopes of rescheduling the exam dates. However, it has agreed to conduct both exams at a single test centre for the applicants who have registered for both.
