GD-PI of Top B-Schools Postponed Due to Coronavirus, New Dates to be Out Soon
Many B-schools have postponed their GD-PI for the academic session 2020-22 due to the recent coronavirus outbreak. The new dates will be released soon once the situation gets under control.
In the wake of the recent coronavirus outbreak in India, many top B-schools have deferred their GD-PI process for MBA/PGDM admissions for the 2020-22 academic session. The Management Development Institute (MDI) had scheduled the WAT-GD-PI round in Mumbai from March 21-26, 2020 but as per the official press release available on MDI’s official website, the revised dates will be intimated to the candidates shortly.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM Lucknow) has also decided to postpone its GD-PI for an indefinite period of time. The new dates regarding the same will be declared by the institute once the situation gets a little better. Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has also postponed its GD-PI for MBA courses.
Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), have also postponed their GD-PI rounds indefinitely. Jaipuria Institute of Management (JIM) has mentioned that it will conduct its GD-PI online via mediums such as Whatsapp, Skype, Hangout etc. NITIE Mumbai will also conduct its GD-PI virtually.

At Great Lakes Institute of Management, the 2-year PGDM admission process is in the final stage and the further interviews will take place online through skype or other mediums and offline interviews will be avoided.
Due to the coronavirus spread, many exams have been postponed, classes have been suspended and schools and colleges in various states have been shut. IIM Indore, Bangalore, Lucknow, Shilling and IIM Ahmedabad have even cancelled their convocations and postponed their events.
