GIPE and MDAE Collaborate to Offer Exclusive PG Programmes
The Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics and Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics have signed an agreement to collaboratively offer two exclusive postgraduate programmes.
Two exclusive programmes will be jointly provided by the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE) and the Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics (MDAE). An agreement has been signed between the two institutes to offer two postgraduate programmes in economics & finance and data science.
As per sources, MDAE and GIPE have released statements asserting that the objective of the programmes is to provide the students with the skills and knowledge in becoming trained and qualified professionals in finance, data science and economics. They added that the students will receive the training that will comply with the current needs of the industry.
As per the statement from the institutes, the combination provided by both the institutes will ensure the best possible outcome through the programmes. MDAE brings its network and industry-relevant model to the table, meanwhile, GIPE brings forth its years of experience in research and training. Thus, this combination from both the institutes will provide the students with programmes of the highest academic and industry standards.

The officiating Director of GIPE, Rajas Parchure, stated that the students will be able to receive the knowledge and skills through the programme, that will help them contribute to the business and economics industry. He added that the students will receive skills sets in the areas of econometrics, macroeconomics, business & data science and finance.

Sources state that the students have been able to get good placements whereas some have also got admission in some of the top tier international universities too. They add that the collaboration is expected to add to the available opportunities. Moreover, the students and the faculty from both the institutes will be working towards research.
