GITAM Organises Panel Discussion on Women Entrepreneurship
- Over 50 budding female entrepreneurs take part in panel discussion on ‘Women Entrepreneurship’ organised by GITAM.
- Chairperson of GITAM Women Entrepreneurship Cell, Professor P. Sheela headed the panel discussion.
The Women Entrepreneurship Cell at GITAM (deemed to be university) organised a panel discussion on ‘Women Entrepreneurship’ on March 06, 2018. Over 50 students, who are interested in pursuing their career as women entrepreneurs took part in the panel discussion. Chairperson of GITAM Women Entrepreneurship Cell, Professor P. Sheela, headed the panel discussion. Head of Entrepreneurship Department, Dr. Manjusree Naidu coordinated the programme.
During the panel discussion, the budding women entrepreneurs realised that the start-up friendly environment of the central government is a boon for female entrepreneurs.
Stating the panel discussion, Professor P Sheela, pointed the new generation women across the globe played a dominant role in overcoming all the hurdles and proved their potential in all aspects of life, including the most cumbersome and intricate world of entrepreneurship. India is bestowed with talented and fearless women entrepreneurs who have made an impact for themselves in India as well as abroad, she highlighted.

Noted women entrepreneurs also participated in the panel discussion to share their ideas and experience. Some of the women entrepreneurs took part in the panel discussion were: -

Expressing their ideas, the eminent women entrepreneurs pointed that commitment towards the selected domain, lateral thinking, strong inclination towards continuous learning and networking are the key factors for success. Therefore, budding female entrepreneurs will have to work by keeping taking these factors into consideration. A strong family support will be an added advantage to the emerging female entrepreneurs, they opined.
