GITAM University Introduces New B.Tech and LLM Courses for 2019-20
GITAM Deemed to be University introduces a number of certificate courses and one B.Tech and LLM course designed keeping the modern day employment requirements in mind.
GITAM Deemed to be University has introduced new UG level B.Tech and PG Level LLM courses from the next academic year in the university. The GITAM Deemed to be University took this decision in the meeting of the academic council and will begin admissions to these courses in 2019-20.
The decision of introduction of these two courses was taken by the Vice Chancellor In charge K.Shivaramakrishna in the 16th annual meeting of the Academic Council of the university. The university is also set to introduce a few certificate courses too.
The new B.Tech programme will be offered in ‘Computer Science and Business Sytems’ with collaborations of Tata consultancy services popularly known as TCS.
K. Shivaramakrishna said in the meeting that it will be the first of its kind industry focused course in whole Andhra Pradesh which will be proven beneficial for increasing skills and employability among the students. GITAM Deemed to be University has also decided to introduce Post-Graduate level Law degree LL.M in the specialised field of corporate law and cyber law keeping the demand of the modern world in mind.
The new certificate courses that are also set to be conducted in GITAM Deemed to be University are, human performance enhancement and life skills, economics, big data, blockchain technology, deep learning, industrial safety, drug regulatory affairs, tribal law, forensic law, international comparative environmental law, legal regulations of economic enterprises or capital and financial markets and advanced legal drafting.

K.V.G.D. Balaji, the registrar of GITAM University (Deemed) was also present in the meeting with N. Siva Prasad and Sivapullaiah who are the two pro-vice-chancellors of the Deemed to be University.
