Great Lakes International University Campus to Come Up in Andhra Pradesh
On February 28, 2017, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Chandrababu Naidu released the brochure of Great Lakes International University, which is going to come up in Sri City (Chittor), Andhra Pradesh.
On February 28, 2017, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Chandrababu Naidu has released the brochure of Great Lakes International University, which is going to come up in Sri City (Chittor), Andhra Pradesh. Vice-Chancellor of Great Lakes International University, Dr. V. Balachandran revealed that all the arrangements have been made to commence the academic year in July 2017.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu revealed that the state government is ready to invite more international universities to set up their campuses in Andhra Pradesh and newly formed capital Amaravati. He further added that international universities ensure a better career for students. He opined that the world is witness the fourth industrial revolution and lakhs of jobs are expected to be created. Therefore, the state government is focusing on making students industry fit.

VC of Great Lakes International University, Dr. Balachandran explained that the varsity would focus on making students successful industrialists by imparting quality training and education. He revealed that the varsity would also offer unique specialisations like Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce and FinTech.
Apart from the specialisations mentioned above, the varsity will also offer the following specialisations in B.Tech course: -
- Machine Learning
- Big Data Analytics
- Internet of Things
- Cloud Computing and Cyber Security
- Digital Marketing.
VC of the varsity further explained that they have collaborated with various international universities for student exchange programmes. Some of the international varsities are London School of Economics and Hong Kong University.
