Greater Autonomy for Higher Education Institutions: Prakash Javadekar
He pointed that the education system of the country is operating according to the vision of our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. A lot of changes have been brought so far in the functioning of government schools.
Union Minister, Mr. Prakash Javadevar in an interview said that the higher education institutions in India will be given greater autonomy. This will enable the higher education institutions to impart quality education. He mentioned that a large portion of Indian students are going abroad for higher education. A higher quality of education can be attained in India by giving greater autonomy to higher educational institutions.

He was of the opinion that the quality of education will improve standards in the education system if the students are trained in skills in an effective way. The institutions will have greater autonomy to frame the syllabus which focuses more on skills rather than theory based learning. The main challenge of the ministry is to impart the better quality of education. He also mentioned that the reviews submitted by University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council for Technical education (AICTE) would be helpful in bringing out the changes and reforms in the education system.
