GTU Summer Exams for Diploma, UG and PG to Begin from June 25

Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has released guidelines to conduct ‘summer examination 2020’. The examination is scheduled to be conducted from June 25, 2020 . The exams will be conducted for final year diploma and undergraduate students and postgraduate students of the second and fourth semester.
GTU has more than 550 affiliated colleges. A total number of 5.5 lakh students are going to appear for these exams. Around 1.2 lakhs students from various streams like diploma engineering , diploma pharmacy, engineering, pharmacy, MBA, MCA , ME, MPharm are expected to take the examination. The detailed schedule of the examination will be released by the university soon.

The decision to conduct examination was taken after the Gujarat government released a notification to conduct the college-level examination from June 25. The duration of the examination will be two hours.
Naveen Sheth, the vice-chancellor of GTU said they have released the examination start date so that students can be prepared in advance.
The revised paper pattern for summer examination 2020 will be released on the official website fo GTU. The merit-based process will be implemented for the intermediate semester in undergraduate and diploma courses as per the recent notification of state government.
All examination will be conducted as per the guidelines of the state government and necessary precautions. It includes wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and proper sanitisation. Each examination hall will have a capacity of 15 students. Those who will not have masks will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.

According to sources, if the practical examination is conducted by the institute previously, then the same will be submitted to the university. If practical exams are not conducted earlier, merit-based progression will be followed.
Viva will be conducted using online video conferencing by a faculty endorsed by the institute.
