Gujarat Forensic Sciences University Signs MoU with Rwanda to Strengthen Forensic Science Lab
One of the officials of GFSU revealed that through this MoU experts from varsity will play a significant role in strengthening the Forensic Science Lab (FSL) at Kigali.
Gujrat Forensic Sciences University is going to strengthen the Forensic Science Lab (FSL) located at Kigali, Rwanda. For this purpose, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed in the presence of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda at Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit on January 10, 2017.
One of the officials of GFSU revealed that through this MoU experts from varsity will play a significant role in strengthening the Forensic Science Lab (FSL) at Kigali and the lab will be upgraded by the experts. The MoU will also train judges, police officers and forensic experts from Rwanda in crime detection methods.

Rwanda is the second country which GFSU is helping local law enforcement agencies by strengthing existing infrastructure apart from Uganda.
Apart from MoU between GFSU and Rwanda, five other MoUs were signed in the areas of research and development in ballistics, forensic sciences with national and international companies and cyber security.

Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit will also witness 157 MoUs that will be signed in the field of education. 103 educational institutions and 18 skill development centres will also come up for the benefit of students. Indrasheel University and Amity University will be set up with an investment of Rs. 1,000 crore each. The objective of the government is to generate more employment opportunities by establishing various institutions.
