Gujarat University Convocation Scheduled for 2016 November End
The convocation of the Gujarat University will be held in the last week of November where Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be present to deliver the convocation address.
The convocation of the Gujarat University will be held in the last week of November where Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has been invited to deliver the convocation address. This was disclosed by Vice-chancellor of the University M N Patel. He said he will personally go to Delhi to invite the the Home Minister.

Sources in the university also revealed that the University had first decided to invite Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, but he had expressed his inability to attend the function due to his hectic schedules.
The decision to hold the convocation in November took after the nodal education body Univeristy Grants Commission asked all universities to follow the academic calendar. In a communique to all the Universities, UGC had asked them to organize their convocation in the month of November, otherwise, the students have to face a lot of problems to obtain degree certificates later on.

How to get your Degree Certificate in the convocation:
Degrees are conferred at the Convocation ceremony. For the same, an application form is available at the Consumer Stores (Room No. 1) and the website of the university.
After paying the fees of INR 200 at the cash counter, the form should be put in a drop box with the fee receipt. Students can also send a DD in favour of “Registrar, Gujarat University” amounting INR 200, for the degree certificate. A legible attested xerox copy of the mark-sheet of the relevant degree examination has to be attached with the application form. The University will inform the candidates when the exact date of the convocation is decided.
