GUJCET Qualifying Marks 2023: Know pass marks to secure a rank

GUJCET Qualifying Marks 2023: The Gujarat CET is one of those entrance examinations which does not have minimum qualifying cutoff marks. It is not that it is not a tough or an unimportant exam. In essence, it means that no minimum marks are required in GUJCET 2023 to be considered for the allocation of a rank based on their merit.
However, a separate criteria mandates for the student to be qualified in their respective board examination, whether it is Gujarat board exam or other state/national board exam. Again, only the scores of the core subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Maths/Biology will be taken into account. Passing or failure in language/other subjects will not hinder the student’s score in GUJCET exam. Hence, GUJCET qualifying marks or cutoff becomes the HSC board passing marks of major core subjects.
While preparing the merit list, a specific weightage is given to the GUJCET score and the remaining is given to the board percentage (of core subjects only). This weightage distribution ratio will be declared later at the time of the publishing of the merit list.

It is to be noted that although the GBSHSE does not set minimum qualifying marks for allocation of rank or for registering for the counselling, all the participating colleges have tough cutoffs for their admission. These cutoffs differ with respect to the college, the reservation category of the candidate, state and other state quotas, and more. The actual college-wise cutoffs for this year will only be conveyed after each round of seat allotment. For reference to expected cutoff, you must refer to the previous year’s seat allotment round 1 cutoff. It is available at the official counselling website of GUJCET at gujacpc.nic.in.
