GVR&S College of Engineering and Technology, Guntur organized a two-day national level techno and cultural fest Nexus-2016. The fest was inaugurated by Smt.Nannapaneni Rajakumari, Chairman, AP Women’s commission. The inauguration ceremony took place on 24-March-2016 at the college auditorium.
Addressing the students, Smt.Rajakumari saidt, “Students should take part in extracurricular activities to develop skills”. She motivated students to develop competitive spirit. She felt that a healthy competition leads to better results academics.
Around 300 students from various engineering colleges participated in various competitions like;
- Paper Presentation
- Quiz
- Poster Presentation
- Sports activities
- Group and Solo dance
Students enthusiastically participated in the competitions and showcased their talents and skills. Around 12 teams competed for the quiz competition. Sports competitions were conducted on 25-March-2016. Around 15 teams from various colleges participated in Volley Ball, Kabaddi and Foot Ball.
Prizes were distributed to the students at the valedictory ceremony on 25-March-2016 by MLC Shri.Rama Krishna Rao.
