Haryana Civil Services Judicial Mains 2021 Exam Postponed as per SC Order

Haryana Civil Services (Judicial Branch) main exam, 2021 was supposed to be held from 6th to 8th May and has now been postponed in adhere to Supreme Court's order- said the state public service commission on Wednesday. The fresh exam dates will be announced in due course. 

Earlier that day, the Supreme Court stated that the exam was postponed due to the clash between Haryana Civil Services (Judicial Branch) main exam, 2021 and, Madhya Pradesh Civil Judge, Junior Division (Entry Level) Exam, 2021. A bench comprising Justice Vineet Saran and Justice J K Maheshwari passed the interim order and posted the matter for further hearing on 9th May.

The bench indicated that in its view, the petitioners had made out a prima facie case seeking a stay. Therefore, as an interim measure, it is directed that the examinations of the Haryana Civil Services (Judicial Branch) Examinations scheduled for 6th to 8th May 2022 stand postponed. It further added, "On the request of the learned counsel for the respondents, list on May 9, by which date this Court would be informed of a fresh schedule for examinations to be notified by the respondents or else assist this Court enabling it to fix the postponed dates".

The Supreme Court asked the Haryana and Punjab High Court to either inform them of the rescheduled dates or assist them in fixing the dates. 

An appeal by Raghav Gumbar, an aspirant, had led to Supreme Court's order. He pointed out that the Haryana exam was supposed to be held from 22nd to 24th of April but was rescheduled due to the clas with Delhi Judicial Service Exams.
