Haryana Colleges to Display Seat and Fees Information on Website
- Education Minister of the state has issued an official circular to universities and affiliated colleges to update all the details relating to the number of students enrolled.
- The colleges must also disclose the details of the teaching staff.
The Government of Haryana has directed all the universities and affiliated colleges across the state to disclose all the information relating to the number of seats in each course along with their fee structure on its official websites. It is mandatory for all the universities and affiliated colleges to publish information about teaching and non-teaching staff with qualifications and designations of each.

Education Minister of Haryana, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma has issued an official circular to all the universities and affiliated colleges after receiving numerous complaints from students regarding denial of admission in colleges even though the seats were vacant there. These colleges admitted students who agreed to pay a higher fee. The Education Minister further directed the colleges to update information on a regular basis.

In May 2017, the Government of Haryana had also announced that they would be setting up new colleges that will be mapped within a radius of 10 km in the state, especially in the densely populated areas.
In January 2017, the government has also released the list of fake universities functioning across the state. The official websites of AICTE and UGC also have this list available, which they keep updating from time to time. The government directed the students to be cautious of being cheated by fake universities and institutes as the degrees offered by them are invalid.
