Check Out Haryana Government's New Initiative for Girl Students

A new step towards women empowerment has been taken by the Haryana Government. The Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar announced the establishment of 29 new government women colleges in the state. He made this announcement at an event titled ‘Meet the CM’ programme which was arranged on the eve of ‘National Youth Day’ to celebrate the birth anniversary of respected Swami Vivekananda.

Khattar emphasized that the government has planned steps for empowering women of the state in unique and different ways and this programme is one such way. He highlighted that the scheme has been prepared to open women college within a radius of every 20 kilometers in the state so that our daughters need not travel far to seek education. He added that it is important for women to strengthen their skills without any barriers. Placing colleges in every 20 kilometers will open doors for more opportunities and will ease the problem of distance for women of the state.

While addressing the gathering, Khattar also mentioned that science stream has been made mandatory in all the new colleges being set up in the state to promote the subject among the students. Simultaneously, a maths laboratory at the block level will also be made available. by the state government. Concerted efforts to promote qualitative education in the state have been initiated by the Haryana Government.

He went on to elaborate on the mantra that the government is taking into consideration which is ‘WIFY’ (women, infrastructure and industry, farmers and youth). Keeping in mind the celebration of Swami Vivekananda’s birthday, he added words to motivate students to take inspiration and lessons from Vivekananda’s life and do well in life despite hard times and limitations.
