The Allahabad high court on Tuesday directed the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) to upload the names of the candidates who have qualified the UP PCS-2016 preliminary examination along with their address on its official website.
The court also directed the petitioners to make a party of the qualified candidates in the petition.
A bench of Justice Dilip Gupta and Justice MK Gupta passed the order. The petition filed by Sunil Kumar Singh and 61 others for the hearing of the case.
The result of PCS (pre) 2016 was challenged by these petitioners because seven questions in the exams had wrong answers. As a result, many candidates could not qualify the exam and said that UPPSC was at fault.

They also claimed that if the fault was rectified then a lot of deserving candidates among the petitioners would qualify the exam rightfully.
The petitioners supported their claim by saying that correct answers were filled in by them as per the books. Although the petitioners had given the right answers, the questions were not marked correct by the expert committee and hence they could not qualify.
They appealed the court to ask UPPSC to re-evaluate the result and consider the errors that had taken place in the previous evaluation. They also requested that if re-evaluation was not possible, then the court should ask UPPSC to conduct the examination again. The next date of hearing was fixed for July 18.
