HCL to Hire Class 12 Students Directly from School for Entry-Level Software Jobs
Vice-President of HCL Technologies, Srimathi Shivashankar revealed that their main objective is to provide opportunities to bright students. The initiative will help the company in creating dedicated workforce and the company is looking for young minds.
Hindustan Computers Limited (HC) has made a significant announcement that it will hire Class 12 students directly from school. It is interesting that the company will hire the students and train them to be IT professionals. The students who will be trained as IT professionals will work for the company. Usually, most of the companies hire students after they complete their UG level studies from various colleges. However, HCL thought in a different way and come up with this innovative idea.

Vice-President of HCL further revealed that they would train a total number of 200 Class 12 students per year. The training process will begin in the month of April. All these candidates will be given entry-level software jobs. However, to secure job in HCL after the completion of Class 12, the candidates should have at least 85% marks in class 12 if they belong to any of the state boards whereas the minimum qualifying marks in CBSE board is 80%.

During the initial months of the training process, the students will be taught basic concepts of engineering that include application support, software testing, application development and infrastructure management. In the last three months, all the students will be given on-the-job training in the HCL Training Campus of Madurai (100 students) and Lucknow (100 students).
After the completion of the training programme, the students will be paid an annual salary of Rs. 1.8 lakh.
