Higher Packages at SRCC in 2016, 3 Graduates bag offers of Rs.29 lakh

Topping the placement records of 2016, three graduates of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) have bagged offers worth Rs.29 lakh in annual compensation. The highest package made at SRCC in 2015 was of Rs.17 lakh.

Trends show that fresh hiring has been renewed in India and has enhanced the employability of students. The three students were from the B.Com (Hons) and Economics (Hons) batch. The offer of Rs.29 lakh was made by strategy consultancy firm Parthenon-EY. The firm was hiring at SRCC for the first time and made lucrative offers.

In 2015, Parthenon-EY had offered Rs.29 lakh to a B.Com (Hons) student of Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR), Rhea Grover. Placement results 2016 have not yet been announced by the institute.

In 2016, 120 students of SRCC have already been placed. Some of the other organizations that made good offers were AT Kearney and McKinsey offering close to Rs.15 lakh to four students. Deutsche Bank hired five students offering a package of Rs.15 lakh per annum. In 2015, Deutsche Bank emerged as the top recruiter at SRCC with the highest package of Rs.17 lakh per year.

Other prominent companies that hired at the campus were Deloitte, EY, ID Insight, McKinsey, KPMG, AT Kearney, Citibank, Reckitt Benckiser and Bain Capability Centre. Most of the offers were made for the post of management associates, business analysts, marketing and sales.

Shalu Gupta, Chief Secretary of the Placement Cell said that it was heartening to see the students perform so well at the placement season this year.
