819 Teaching Posts in Himachal to be Filled - Cabinet Gives Green Signal
Other than filling up the 819 vacant teaching posts, 1,578 para workers too to be recruited in various state departments. The cabinet meeting was headed by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
Chain of events to fill up the vacant 819 contractual posts in the Elementary Education Department has begun after receiving thumbs up from the Himachal Cabinet. Out of the 819 contractual posts, 35 posts of language teachers and 532 posts of Junior Basic Teachers will also be up for grabs. Other than the aforementioned vacant posts, the cabinet of Himachal Pradesh has also sent its approval to recruit a total of 1,578 para workers. Out of them, 287 para fitters, 417 para pump operators and 874 multipurpose workers will be recruited for the 394 irrigation and drinking water schemes of the Irrigation and Public Health Department.
In the Cabinet meeting, it was also decided to fill up the vacant 16 Junior Technician posts in the Horticulture Department. The posts will be filled on contractual terms. The Cabinet meeting was led by the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur. It was also decided upon in the Cabinet meeting to directly recruit 11 Civil Judges for which the due approvals were also received.

Amendments were also approved by the Cabinet of Himachal Pradesh to the policy which aims at reducing fire incidents by collecting and removing pine needles from forests. The amendment aims at encouraging the stakeholders and to remove pine needles from forests. It also aims at encouraging the industries to use the pine cones as fuel.
