A guest lecture was conducted by Hindu College, Guntur on the occasion of World water conservation day on 22-March-2016. The guest lecture was delivered by Dr.A.Lakshamana Rao, retired justice.
Addressing the students on the occasion he said, “The surface water resources are being depleted day by day. The United Nations Organization declared 22nd March as the world water conservation day in order to educate the people on the use of water resources in a conservative way”. He also opined that various rivers in India are becoming dry. He suggested the students to preserve water resources for the future generations.
On this occasion, various competitions were conducted for the students and prizes were distributed. Competitions like:
- Elocution
- Essay writing
- Painting
Around 70 students of college actively participated in the competitions. Prizes were distributed to all the winners at prize distribution ceremony.
